    Genesis

    In the late nineties in India, the small and large scale Industries were losing the race of developing products effectively. Their products did not match with overseas products that were made with superior technology, which resulted in the closure of many well known businesses as their products were obsolete compared to their superior quality counterparts. The reason for this slowdown was mainly because our indigenous companies were unable to keep pace with the products from the developed countries which added more value while meeting the customers’ requirements effectively and efficiently. The developed countries focused on developing the state-of-art-products which competed with the outdated Indian products which were design several decades ago.

    Looking at the above scenario, SSA Consulting Group was founded by Mr.N.C.Narayanan in 1999 with a missionary zeal to be a one-stop-shop knowledge resource for improving the competitiveness of any business model. The flagship company of the group, SSA Business Solutions (P) Ltd consults on management solutions under the umbrella of ISM® Integrated Strategy Management Systems. After placing itself firmly in the Business Management area, SSA group noticed that the Indian Manufacturing Industries were lagging in their capabilities to design and develop the product that will match the state-of-the-art product from the overseas manufacturer.

    Mr. NC Narayanan, fondly called as NC, is the founder & CMD of SSA Group of companies.

    He is a Gold Medallist in B.E (Mech) from Anna University and MS Research in Finite Element Method (FEM) from IIT, Chennai.

    After a professional career in design and technology for 30 years, he founded SSAT with a missionary zeal of sharing his wisdom for developing Indian industries and strengthening their New Product Introduction (NPI) systems. Right from his formative days, NC worked in the design and technology disciplines, passing several roles till he finally held the Chief Designer and Technology Head positions in reputed engineering companies.

    He was responsible for re-engineering the entire New Product Introduction process at Lucas-TVS by implementing the concurrent engineering approach, for which he was trained by Lucas Engineering Systems in the UK.
